CHILDREN’S PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: October 21, 2021

This Children’s Privacy Policy supplements and uses terms defined in our general Privacy Policy. It applies to parts of our Service that are directed toward children and permit child participation (“Kids Services”). We define children as anyone under 13 years old. To the extent there is a conflict between our general Privacy Policy and this Children’s Privacy Policy, this Children’s Privacy Policy will control with respect to the Kids Services.

Please carefully review this Children’s Privacy Policy with your child, as well as the general Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, please email us at support.usa@pebblegear.com.

  1. Information Collection, Use, and Disclosure

In order for a child to access the Kids Services, their parents or legal guardians (“Parents”) must first set up a parental account. Once a parental account is established, Parents can then set up an account for their child to access the Kid Services (“Kids Account”).

As part of setting up a Kids Account, Parents will be asked to provide information relating to the Kids Account. Parents may provide their child’s first name, choose an avatar, set controls for when and how long the child can use the Kids Account, and set restrictions on what Kids Services the child can access through their Kids Account.

Once a Kids Account is established, a child may access the Kids Services through their Kids Account. To the extent permitted by law, we may collect from the child the same types of personal information, and use and share that information for the same purposes, as described in the general Privacy Policy, with the following exceptions:

  • We will not collect or allow third parties to collect personal information (including persistent identifiers) through Kids Accounts for purposes of Interest-based Advertising or building a profile about the child.
  • We will not require a child to provide more information than is reasonably necessary in order to participate in the Kids Services.
  1. Third Parties

This Children’s Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of any services (including apps, games, and e-books) that may be accessed through the Kid Services that are not owned and operated by us. Before using any other service, you should review the applicable terms and policies to determine their appropriateness for your child, including the service’s data collection and use practices.

  1. Retention and Deletion

We retain children’s personal information for a reasonable amount of time to perform the task for which we collected it, unless otherwise requested by a child’s Parent. We reserve the right to keep certain information necessary for record-keeping purposes to the extent permitted and/or required by law, including any statutory retention requirements. When deleted, we use appropriate security measures to delete children’s personal information. In some cases, to the extent permitted by law, we may aggregate de-identify children’s personal information instead of deleting it.

  1. Parental Rights

Parents can visit their parental account settings for certain options around their child’s Kids Account, including setting controls for when and how long the child can use the Kids Account, and setting restrictions on what Kids Services the child can access through their Kids Account.

In addition, at any time, a Parent may review their child’s personal information maintained by us, require us to correct or delete such personal information, request that we delete their child’s Kids Account, and/or refuse to permit us from further collecting or using their child’s personal information by contacting us at support.usa@pebblegear.com. To protect Parent privacy and security and the privacy and security of children, we may require a Parent to take certain steps or provide additional information, which we will keep strictly confidential, to verify their identity before we provide any information about the child or make any corrections.

Please keep in mind that a request to delete personal information may lead to a termination of the Kids Account and ability for the child to further access the Kids Services.
